Eccl. 11:9

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

Youth News

September 3, 2010

KICK-OFF DEVO for youth and their families will be on September 12th, after evening service in the Fellowship Hall (though we may use the down stairs too). This is for College Hill Youth, their parents & members of the Youth Committee.

JUNIOR/SENIOR DINNER: 11th and 12th graders, please check your calendars for Monday, September 20, for our annual Junior and Senior dinner. We'd like to have all of you there.

LOCK-IN:  We're looking at Friday night, September 17. It will last from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and will include Laser Tag (hopefully) more details soon.

FALL RETREAT: Check your calendars for the weekend of October 15-17.

Policy Change for Events requiring sign up or money deposits: Basically when we are organizing an activity that requires money and/or reservations, you will not be considered as "signed-up" until one or both of the following conditions have been met:
1) Youve turned in money.
2) Your parent/guardian has either emailed or spoken directly to Marcus assuring your participation. (This is here so that a momentary or general lack of money won't keep you from coming.)

Please note: This will apply to visitors you would like to bring as well.

Make sure that you and your parents/children/spouses are on the same page about who's going to what. Lists will be alphabetical by last name. Adults, youth, and visitors are all on the same lists. We will have two lists: those signed-up and those expressing interest. You will not have a guaranteed ticket, reservation, etc. unless you sign-up per the policy stated above.

Youth and parents, please send us your athletic and performance calendars and notices, so we can get the word out when you have something coming up.

Jenna Hay and Tess Rose along with all 3 of the BISD High School Bands will be one in thirteen bands to play in the 2011 Pasadena Rose Bowl.
